Do I need to eat before joining one of Philema’s signature experiences?
Most of our food tours include generous portions of local, homemade dishes - enough to replace a full meal.
The only exception is the Olive Oil Routes experience, which focuses on olive oil tastings and carefully selected accompaniments rather than a complete meal.
Our Marble World small-group quarry experience is the only tour that does not include food.
Is pick-up and drop-off included in the price?
For private experiences, yes - full transfer service is included. We will pick you up from your hotel lobby and return you there at the end of the tour.
For small group experiences, tours begin at specific meeting points. We kindly ask that you arrive a few minutes before the scheduled start time. Once the group has gathered, all transportation during the tour is handled by our private van.
If you would prefer hotel pick-up for a small group tour, simply contact us and we’ll arrange your transfer to the meeting point.

Detailed directions are always shared after booking, so you’ll feel fully prepared.
Is pick-up and drop-off included in Private experiences?
Yes. We will pick you up from your hotel and return you there once the tour concludes.
If you would like to be dropped off at a different location, just let us know in advance and we’ll be happy to arrange it.
I am allergic / pregnant / vegan / gluten-free / lactose intolerant. Can you accommodate me?
Absolutely. Please inform us in advance so we can adjust the food selections accordingly and ensure you enjoy the experience comfortably.
Will there be any additional costs during the tour?
No hidden costs. Food, drinks, transportation and guiding services are all included in the tour price.
Gratuities and personal expenses, such as souvenir purchases, are at your own discretion.
Do I need any special equipment?
No special equipment is required.
We simply recommend comfortable clothing and shoes, along with a hat and sunscreen during the warmer months.
I’m interested in a private tour but would like to adjust some of the stops. Is that possible?
Of course. Personalizing experiences is something we truly enjoy creating.
If certain stops don’t match your interests, we can tailor the itinerary to suit you better.
For example, if you’re interested in the vineyard tasting and tour from the Cheese & Wine Trails experience but prefer to avoid cheese, we could replace the dairy visit with another local experience - perhaps a beekeeper’s visit, time in Naxos Town, or a stop in one of our mountain villages - while still including the vineyard tour and wine tasting. Simply email us with your ideas, and we’ll do our best to design a tailor-made experience just for you.
I have limited time on Naxos and your tour will be my only one. Do you offer something more comprehensive?
Yes. Our full-day tours are ideal for this.
You may choose one of our “fixed” full-day itineraries or work with us to customize your own. These full-day experiences combine food and culture, taking you into the mountains, through traditional villages, across beautiful landscapes and wonderful sites you might otherwise miss on a shorter visit.
If you’re looking for a well-rounded introduction to Naxos, this is the perfect option.
I’d love to join a full-day tour, but I’m worried it might feel too long.
We understand - but most guests are surprised by how quickly the day passes!
Naxos is a large island and travel times (especially during summer) can be longer than expected. We also prefer a relaxed pace, allowing you to fully enjoy each stop rather than rushing.
By the end of the tour, many guests tell us they can’t believe how fast the day went by.
Can Philema assist with services beyond the tours listed on the website?
Yes. While our website presents our core experiences, we also assist guests with additional arrangements upon request. Thanks to our local network, we can help coordinate selected services and experiences tailored to your needs.
